The woman pictured in the snow globe is my mom and the illustration is from a poem in the book where I wrote about her called The Tin Can. She lived a good life of eighty years and like most moms she was very influential in my life. The smile pictured on her face was typical of her demeanor. Even though she raised ten children, rarely do I remember her getting mad or complaining about anything. She had a hearty laugh and enjoyed the company of everyone who passed her way including those who were less fortunate.
She was a great listener and loved a good story. I feel I picked up those same traits which is probably what led me to write this book. While I enjoy telling my stories, the beauty of my work is the remembrances each individual has when recalling their own Christmas memories. To that end, I encourage you to share briefly some of your fondest Christmas memories and pictures of those who made them special.
